Da Hong Pao is a Chinese tea steeped in tradition. Grown naturally in the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province, this Da Hong Pao is said to contain healing properties with its mineral taste and charcoal-fired preparation. An almost tart oolong, our varietal can be brewed to a smooth finish or a more complex taste.
Da Hong Pao is most enjoyed brewed at 200•F for 1 minute. If you want a sweeter profile with a smooth finish, lower the brewing time to just 30 seconds. Raise the temperature slightly and you will bring out a smokiness unlike any other Da Hong Pao. Like all our teas, this tea can be brewed multiple times.
